Malcolm X Playboy interview [manuscript], 1963.

The collection contains a typescript carbon copy of page 7 of Malcolm X's famous Playboy interview by Alex Haley. Malcolm X annotated the copy with a signed postscript which was not included in the published interview: "The public was shocked when they first heard this Truth, but now the public is becoming used to it. The Truth hasn't changed; the public has!" The page is accompanied by a formal publicity photograph of Malcolm X and an electrostatic copy of the first page of the published interview.
